Sylem records
was established by Welsh band "Melys" in 1999. It is situated in the Snowdonia
mountains tourist village of Betws-y-Coed, North Wales. The company is
run by the band from an 18th century mansion which houses the on site recording
studio and offices.
The birth
of Sylem was one of necessity.When Melys' record company "Pinnacle" closed
down the band kept the money given as an advance of their second L.P. and
built the studio and offices, releasing their own records and eventually
moving on to release material from other artists.For more info on Melys
